DREAMING RETREAT

A 5-day Irish journey with Ajeet and friends

WELCOME // FÁILTE

It is my absolute joy to invite you to come to Ireland with me. I am hosting this retreat near to my home in an incredibly special place owned by friends. I feel so excited about the place, the people, and welcoming you in a way that is truly intimate and personal during the quiet time of year when the mountains turn golden and the inner world awakens. It is my favourite time here, womblike and cosy. It is a cocoon to dream and vision, to sing and to rest. It will also be my birthday, so we will dance and sing and howl at the moon and celebrate this life. Ireland has always held these two sides beautifully. The craic and wild joy alongside the silence and deep healing.

I couldn’t be happier to share with you this place where creativity is nourished by beauty and healing lives in every sea breath.

With love and excitement,

Ajeet

❋ Daily Yoga and Meditation

Ajeet will lead daily yoga and meditation sessions in our beautiful yoga space overlooking the bay in the heart of a native Irish Rainforest. Yoga will be gentle and suitable for all levels. We will practice restful poses, flows and meditations to calm the nervous system and help soften and open to all we will experience together. Each morning will begin with an optional sauna and sea swim to connect to the beautiful nature around us first, with all its healing presence.

❋ Explore Sacred Land

We will visit ancient sacred sites and explore the beautiful wild landscape of Cork and Kerry on the West Coast of Ireland. This retreat is carefully chosen near to Ajeet’s home, allowing her to share with us the places that mean most to her. We will be joined by Áine Brosnan, a longtime friend of Ajeet’s and local archaeologist who will share rich insights of the land, its history and its stories. We will learn about the nature here, native trees and plants and dabble in the healing practices and remedies that have thrived here since ancient times.

❋ Music, music, music!

The heart of our retreat will be song, sound and the ceremony of music. Singing the songs of the seals over the bay, listening to the slow air of a whistle by the sea. We will journey through quiet soundscapes to open meditative spaces, and sing together in traditional Irish music sessions in the local pub. Ajeet will share daily songs, stories and music and our gathering will be blessed by local musicians who will open our hearts to the magic of this land through music, as has always been the way of communing here in Ireland.

❋ Guides to Take Us Deeper

Another gift of being near to Ajeet’s home is that her community is just over the mountain. Our time together will be deeply enriched by our guest guides and a feeling of friendship at the heart of what we experience. We are hosting this retreat beginning on Thanksgiving. We will begin with a feast of local food, friends and music. The last evening of the retreat will be Ajeet’s birthday, so we will celebrate with a fancy dress soíree that will be just wild enough to make the ancestors proud.

Nestled in the heart of an old growth native rainforest, Dromgarriff looks over the bay while being held on all sides by a rare landscape reminiscent of how the whole island of Ireland once looked. Ireland was a land of dense forest with an incredibly unique ecosystem. Wildlife thrived in its layers of biodiversity. While still incredibly beautiful, much of the country has been cleared for farming and much of the native ecosystem lost. Dromgarriff sits as a beautiful example of Ireland’s pure wild beauty, as well as an example of how the native ecosystem can be supported and nurtured back to its thriving balance. Surrounded by old growth Oak, Hazel, and holly, looking over the water is a peaceful and incredibly beautiful newly renovated estate. The houses are intimate and nestled in nature, and this stunning place will be quietly ours to hold a space of healing, rest, study and celebration in our time together.

We are incredibly thankful to have such a place of deeply cared for wild beauty to hold our journey!

OUR SPACE

"Clear days bring the mountains down to my doorstep,

Calm nights give the rivers their say,

The wind puts its hand to my shoulder some evenings,

And then I don’t think,

I just leave what I’m doing and go the soul’s way.”

— John Moriarty

Nestled in the heart of an old Irish Rainforest, looking out over the sea, in a cosy small community of new friends, come home to yourself.
